This page is our standard for every article on the site — what we cite, how we verify, when we update, and what we disclose.

Sourcing standards

Program facts — dates, copays, eligibility criteria, covered drugs, processes — must trace to primary sources: CMS’s official Medicare GLP-1 Bridge pages first, supplemented by KFF’s independent policy analysis and, where relevant, FDA labeling and Medicare.gov materials. Clinical background (how medications work, standard definitions like BMI or A1c ranges) reflects standard, mainstream medical information and is always paired with the direction to consult your own prescriber. We do not source program facts from other content sites, forums, or marketing materials.

Verification and dating

Every page carrying program facts displays a “last verified” date — the date we last checked those facts against the primary sources. We re-verify on a weekly review cycle (the extension trackeris the most frequently updated page) and immediately when CMS announces changes. A page’s facts being verified doesn’t mean the program can’t change tomorrow — CMS demonstrations can be modified — which is why the dating exists.

Plain-language rules

We write for readers 65 and older at a general reading level: short sentences, defined jargon (see the glossary), the answer first, and honest uncertainty. Where the program is genuinely confusing — the KwikPen rule, the Extra Help exclusion — we say “this is confusing” rather than smoothing it over.

Medical review

Clinical pages (drug guides, condition explainers) are being placed under review by an independent licensed clinician; reviewed pages will carry a “medically reviewed by” byline with the reviewer’s credentials. Until a page carries that byline, treat its clinical content as educational background — and treat your own prescriber, always, as the decision-maker.

We use AI tools in researching and drafting this site’s content. Every published fact is verified against the primary sources named above, and every page follows the standards on this page. We disclose this because you deserve to know how what you read gets made — and because our accountability for accuracy is the same regardless of the tools used.

Monetization and independence

Revenue relationships (advertising, affiliate partnerships, lead referral) never determine program facts, eligibility reporting, or price accuracy. Affiliate links are disclosed on every page carrying them. We do not accept payment for coverage or rankings, and no partner reviews or approves our editorial content. Corrections
